The 2020 Nissan Rogue vs Toyota RAV4

Are you considering the new Toyota RAV4 like many of our Buford customers? The RAV4 is one awesome crossover SUV. But how does it stack up against the competition? We’re comparing the 2020 Nissan Rogue vs Toyota RAV4 to help you see why the RAV4 is the chosen vehicle for many families. We evaluate how they measure up in three categories: cost, performance, and features. Of course, you can check out the Toyota RAV4 at Beaver Toyota of Cumming. But in the meantime, let’s see if we can figure out a winner in this RAV4 vs Rogue match up.

2020 Nissan Rogue vs Toyota RAV4: Cost

The $25,300 MSRP for the base model Rogue S is a few hundred dollars less than the $25,950 MSRP for the base model RAV4 LE. But the sticker price is not the only cost you need to consider. Gas mileage can be a big factor, especially if you need to put a lot of miles on your vehicle. The RAV4 dominates in this area since there are two hybrid trims available, the RAV4 LE Hybrid and RAV4 XLE Hybrid.

These Hybrid trims have an EPA-estimated gas mileage of 41 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. The Rogue has no Hybrid trims, so the best gas mileage you’re estimated to get from it is 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. You will also need to factor in our new Toyota specials and other offers and incentives, which will save you even more money on the RAV4.

2020 Nissan Rogue vs Toyota RAV4: Performance

Interestingly, both SUVs come standard with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine, yet the RAV4 outperforms the Rogue in both horsepower and torque. Expect 203 hp from all of the RAV4 gas engine trims, but only 170 hp from the Rogue. The RAV4 has more torque as well, providing 184 lb-ft compared to just 175 lb-ft from the Rogue.

2020 Nissan Rogue vs Toyota RAV4: Features

The 2020 Nissan Rogue does come with some interior features you’d find on other vehicles, but the RAV4 comes with some extras you won’t find in the Rogue. For instance, heated front seats are available in the RAV4 XLE. There are five USB ports in the RAV4, compared to just two in the Rogue. And the RAV4 has Road Sign Assist, meaning your vehicle actually recognizes some road signs and will alert you accordingly. That should come in handy while crossing Alpharetta roads.
