Toyota RAV4 Prime Performance Features

Performance Features

Receiving the corporate-developed Dynamic Force engine block, the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has tremendous capabilities and impressive efficiency on the road. When burning regular gasoline, the four-cylinder powerhouse develops 176 gross horsepower. This compact crossover SUV extracts up to 219 combined hp from a recently developed hybrid powertrain. A single electric motor sends 118 hp to the front wheels and 54 hp to the rear wheels. Another motor diverts 149 hp to the front wheels and 89 lb-ft to the rear wheels. Completely sealed for protection against the weather and other outdoor elements, the Ni-MH battery generates up to 244.8 V. Likewise, the sealed Li-ion battery develops 259 V. The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime is partially powered by a sealed Li-ion battery rated at 355.2 V. This all-new crossover SUV harnesses up to 302 net hp from the plug-in hybrid powertrain. If you use the 3.3-kW charger and a 240-V outlet, you can recharge the battery in approximately 4.5 hours. The 6.6-kW adapter reduces the charging time to only 2.5 hours. This PHEV Toyota model runs on an electronically controlled CVT system with logical and robust shifting patterns. You’ll get up to 42 miles of all-electric range from this premium crossover SUV. Similarly, the RAV4 Hybrid is equipped with an electronic CVT for consistent performance.

Plug-In Hybrid Logo

Powered by the recently engineered Dynamic Torque Vectoring technology, the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid’s all-wheel drive system has best-in-class capabilities. Under some circumstances, the TV-AWD sends half of all available torque to the rear wheels. As the name suggests, the Driveline Disconnect temporarily disengages the rear axle for better efficiency on the highway. The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime gets the factory-assembled Electronic On-Demand AWD. You could view the AWD Integrated Management (AIM) interface for real-time updates on the drivetrain. This plug-in hybrid model can run on the EV, HV, Charge, and Trail modes. Similarly, the hybrid trim offers Eco, Normal, Snow, and other driving settings.
