The 2023 Toyota Crown kicks up to 236 horsepower from a hybrid powertrain. Some of the power comes from a 2.5-liter engine, which is entirely built on the familiar Dynamic Force core. A 230.4-V nickel-metal hydride battery pack and dual electric motors provide supplemental power to this all-new sedan. Elevating the output to 340 hp, the Hybrid Max engine is a true gem under the hood of this premium model. This high-end propulsion system includes a turbocharged 2.4-L engine. Delivering a combined output of 208 hp, a light-duty hybrid system is available for the 2023 Toyota Camry. The car’s rechargeable battery pack exploits lithium-ion technology. You can also opt for a conventional V-6 gas engine that produces just above 300 net hp. This reliable Toyota sedan offers the Dynamic Torque Control AWD for high traction and overall stability. Driven by AC motors, the 2023 Crown’s AWD system optimizes efficiency and handling. Both sedans offer a continuously variable transmission with electronic management. Hailing from the Direct Shift line, a six-speed automatic gearbox is available on the Crown. Likewise, the Camry’s Direct Shift gearbox provides two additional speeds. Additionally, both Toyota trims have the Active Cornering Assist for sporty maneuvering on tight turns.
