Toyota Tundra Performance

The 2022 Toyota Tundra runs on a 3.5-liter engine block that carries the iconic i-FORCE badge. Boosted by twin turbochargers, this V-6 engine generates up to 389 net horsepower. Burning gasoline, the six-cylinder powerhouse unleashes 479 pound-feet of peak torque. This all-new Toyota pickup truck also offers the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that delivers 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. When properly optimized, this light-duty pickup truck can tow 12,000 pounds per SAE J2807 specifications. You could also haul up to 1,940 pounds of payload with this redesigned workhorse. Thanks to the Multi-Terrain Select technology, the 2022 Tundra tackles treacherous landscapes with tremendous skill. As the name implies, the Crawl Control facilitates crawling on unpaved surfaces. Such off-road technologies are standard on the robust TRD Pro edition, which rolls on the 18-inch tires with the exclusive Falken Wildpeak design. Outfitted with the patented FOX shock absorbers, this tough pickup truck offers a smooth ride on rugged terrains. Aluminum skid plates also protect the cool TRD Pro model from off-road beatings. An air suspension system with a load-leveling design is another innovative technology that’s on the menu.

**Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner’s Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. “Added vehicle equipment” includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle’s exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo. [Calculated with the new SAE J2807 method.] Installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper or side-door kick sensors may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Owner’s Manual for limitations.
