Toyota Corolla XSE Performance Features

Performance Features

The 2022 Toyota Corolla SE gets 169 horsepower from a 2.0-liter engine. This four-cylinder powertrain develops 151 pound-feet of peak torque. With adjustments from the Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, the 16 valves work efficiently on every cycle. You can pair the I-4 powerplant with a six-speed manual transmission system. However, the XSE trim runs on the standard Dynamic-Shift automatic transmission. Likewise, this continuously variable transmission is installed on the SE edition. Both Corolla models complete a curb-to-curb turn in a diameter of only 35.6 feet. Measuring just under 11 inches, power-assisted brakes are installed on the front wheels. With management from the all-new Electronically Controlled Braking, the brakes last longer over the years. When tested according to EPA criteria, the SE offers a fuel economy of 40 mpg on the highway. The XSE trim is rated at 38 mpg on the highway as gauged by the same standards. Both Toyota sedans could run on the driver-activated Sport Mode or Normal Mode. A 13.2-gallon fuel tank is installed on each model. You can take the SE model for a continuous 530-mile trip on the highway. Additionally, both trims have a 0.30 coefficient of drag for segment-leading aerodynamic performance.
