Which Toyota Vehicles Get the Best Gas or Hybrid Mileage

As fuel prices continue to increase, it’s no surprise that more and more vehicle owners are concerned with finding fuel-efficient vehicles. Besides saving money on fuel, finding a more fuel-efficient vehicle also helps reduce your overall impact on the environment and promotes a more self-sustainable world. Fortunately, Toyota shares this initiative of reducing our environmental impact by offering a full lineup of exceptionally fuel-efficient vehicles.
Hybrid Vehicles
An early adopter of the hybrid vehicle model, Toyota has various vehicle sizes, all offered in Hybrid models for their valued customers. Some of the most popular include the Prius, Camry, RAV4, and Highlander. All of these vehicles use hybrid electric technology, which is a combination of gas and electric motors to help maximize the vehicle’s efficiency and power.
When it comes to Toyota’s sedan models, its Prius gets an estimated 57 MPG, and its Camry gets around 51 MPG. The RAV4 Hybrid can traverse terrain at an estimated 41 MPG, while its Highlander Hybrid can provide up to 36 MPG. Toyota owners can now get the same performing models they’ve always loved, just with better fuel efficiency, thanks to Toyota’s hybrid technology.
Gasoline-Powered Vehicles
For car owners that aren’t ready to make the punch into a hybrid model yet, Toyota still offers a whole lineup of gas-powered fuel-efficient vehicles to choose from. Some of its most popular are the Corolla, Camry, and Prius Prime. Two of the most popular and longest-running Toyota sedan models, the Camry and Corolla, get an EPA estimated MPG of 28/39 and 32/41, respectively. The Prius Prime will get 48 MPG while running. The Toyota Corolla currently features a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine that produces 169 horsepower and 151 lb per foot of torque. Its popular counterpart, the Camry, features a 2.5 L four-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower and 184 lb per foot of torque. Lastly, the Prius Prime features a 2.0 L 4-cylinder hybrid engine that produces 220 horsepower.
Future Developments
Toyota has a Beyond Zero initiative where they’re aiming to reach carbon neutrality with all their new products, services, and operations. Currently, the automaker that offers more zero and low-emission vehicle combinations than any other on the market today, Toyota continues to have major plans for expanding both their hybrid, plug-in hybrid, fuel cell electric, and all-electric vehicle lineup. In 2023, Toyota will release its very first Corolla Cross Hybrid model that will offer vehicle owners an EPA-estimated 45/38 MPG. Toyota is also producing an all-electric vehicle known as the bZ4x, which offers an estimated range of 252 miles, and a fuel cell electric vehicle known as the Mirari, which offers 76/71 MPGe.
