Grand Highlander vs Highlander Comparison

Toyota is set to release its all-new 2024 Grand Highlander. This modern family cruiser has abundant space, style, and power to make every trip fun for everyone. Compared to its Highlander counterpart, the Grand Highlander offers even more technology, size, and features you’ll love to call your very own.

Robust Engine

The all-new Toyota Grand Highlander is currently available with three different engine sizes. These include a 2.4 L turbocharged ICE engine, a 2.5 L hybrid, and the hybrid Max. The latter features up to 400 lb-ft of torque and 362 horsepower. Compare this to the 2.4 L 4-cylinder engine in the Highlander, which offers 310 lb-ft of torque and 265 horsepower. It becomes evident that the Grand Highlander and its 5,000-pound maximum towing capacity is a step up from the Highlander model.

Regarding fuel efficiency, the original Toyota Highlander rings in at 22 city and 20 highway miles per gallon. The all-new Grand Highlander features a combined EPA estimated MPG of 34. Available in an all-wheel drive option, the Grand Highlander will take you further every time.

Size Differences

The Toyota Grand Highlander can transport up to eight passengers thanks to its convenient third-row seating that’s big enough for adults and children to stretch out on the ride. With 153 cubic feet of total interior space and various smart storage locations for things like water bottles and phones, the Grand Highlander is considered to be extra roomy. It even offers just under 21 cubic feet of cargo space when all the seats are completely upright.

The Toyota Highlander offers seven-passenger seating with fold-down, third-row seating. It features 16 cubic feet of cargo space with all the seats upright. When its second and third-row seating is folded down, this vehicle offers 84.3 cubic feet of cargo space. Compared to the 2024 Grand Highlander, the Highlander has less cargo space. When contrasting actual vehicle dimensions, the Grand Highlander is 6.5 inches longer, 2 inches taller, and 2.3 inches wider than the Highlander model.

High-Tech Features

The all-new Grand Highlander comes standard with a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen display. It features an available panoramic view monitor and front, side, and rear cameras so that you always have a 360-degree view of what’s going on around your vehicle. You’ll love its standard wireless phone charger and seven USB-C ports for optimum connectivity throughout this entire SUV.
