Now in its sixth generation, the RAV4 blends sleek lines with a strong SUV stance, featuring a wider profile, pronounced fender flares, and the signature Toyota hammerhead front end. New LED taillights add a tech-forward look to the rear hatch, while trim-specific spoilers, color accents, and wheel designs make each grade feel distinctly unique.
The updated lineup features three style themes—Core, Sport, and Rugged—spanning seven grades, including the returning Woodland and the debut of the performance-focused GR SPORT. Unique paint colors like Urban Rock (exclusive to Woodland), Meteor Shower, and Everest join classic favorites like Ruby Flare Pearl and Blueprint, with two-tone combinations available on select trims.
Inside, the RAV4’s cabin has been streamlined for ease of use and modern appeal. A new center stack puts key controls right where you expect them, and the optional shift-by-wire system adds a minimalist touch to select grades. Across all models, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard, while a 10.5-inch or available 12.9-inch touchscreen handles navigation, media, and climate controls. Seating materials range from durable fabric to SofTex® or Ultrasuede®, depending on the trim, with unique colors and accents for added personality.
The 2026 RAV4 is 100% electrified, offering a choice between a Hybrid Electric (HEV) and a Plug-in Hybrid Electric (PHEV) powertrain. For the first time, Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system is available in an SUV, pairing a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with an enhanced battery, power control unit, and transaxle for improved performance.
The new FWD hybrid delivers up to 226 net combined horsepower, while AWD models boost output to 236 hp, giving you more power to merge, pass, or climb hills with ease. Drivers who need extra traction will appreciate the available All-Wheel Drive system, which adds confidence on wet pavement, gravel roads, and snowy streets alike.
Whether you’re hitching up a utility trailer or loading up gear for the weekend, the 2026 RAV4 is ready. Select AWD trims, including the HEV Woodland, XSE, and Limited, as well as PHEV SE and XSE, offer up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity, giving you the flexibility to bring more with you. FWD models and the LE AWD grade tow up to 1,750 pounds, which is still plenty for smaller loads.
On the Woodland editions, adventure features include all-terrain tires, raised roof rails with crossbars, and a rear activity mount, making it easier to haul bikes, kayaks, or camping gear.
