Performance Features
The 2025 Toyota Crown grabs 236 net horsepower from a standard hybrid powertrain. Rated at 88 kW, a front motor contributes up to 118 hp. A 40-kW rear motor delivers up to 54 hp to the drivetrain. The 2025 Lexus ES only gets 203 hp from a standard 2.5-L engine block. Compressing gasoline at a 13:1 ratio, the I-4 engine only yields 184 pound-feet of torque.
This luxury Lexus sedan taps into 302 hp from a V-6 engine block. The 3.5-L engine releases up to 267 lb-ft of torque. The Crown Platinum harnesses 340 net hp from the proprietary Hybrid MAX powerhouse. With assistance from two motors, this boosted powertrain unleashes 332 lb-ft. An AWD system is standard across the entire Crown lineup. Tuned for sporty driving, the six-speed Direct Shift gearbox propels the Platinum trim. This athletic trim offers the Rear Comfort and Custom modes. Delivering eight gear speeds, the Direct Shift automatic transmission is standard on the ES. However, the hybrid Lexus trims have the ECVT system with more gear combinations. Fitted with 12.9-inch front brakes, the Crown quickly stops on the road. The ES is equipped with front brakes that measure just 12 inches.
Amenities
Leather-trimmed, eight-way front seats are standard on the 2025 Toyota Crown. This hybrid Toyota sedan includes standard ventilation and heating for the first-row seats. Even the rear passengers will enjoy heated seats. Climate-controlled front seats are optional on the entry-level 2025 ES models. However, some Lexus trims offer 14-way adjustments for the driver’s seats. Both sedans have a standard HVAC system with two zones and pollen filters. Jam protection is integrated into the Crown’s power windows. You’ll get optimal utility from the standard Smart Key or the virtual Digital Key.
Technology
The 2025 Toyota Crown has a standard 12.3-inch infotainment system with the iconic Connected Services. Made by JBL, an 11-speaker sound system is synced with the multimedia console. This hybrid Toyota sedan offers a 10-inch HUD with performance indicators. A 10.2-inch HUD is available on the 2025 Lexus ES. However, this luxury sedan has a standard multimedia display that measures just 8.0 inches. You’ll have to dish out extra cash to get a 12.3-inch infotainment system. Likewise, the optional Mark Levinson sound system comes with a hefty price tag. You could get the Intuitive Parking Assist technology for this lavish Lexus model. The Crown’s Advanced Park technology also offers a high level of assistance and convenience for parking. Additionally, this electrified Toyota sedan is available with the Panoramic View Monitor.
