Performance Capabilities

The 2024 Crown is equipped with a standard hybrid powertrain with a net rating of 236 horsepower. Built on the Dynamic Force foundation, a 2.5-L engine is integrated into the hybrid system. This conventional gas engine delivers up to 184 horsepower from combustion. The 2024 Camry extracts slightly more than 200 hp from the signature I-4 engine. This midsize Toyota sedan offers a 3.5-L engine, which whips out more than 300 hp. The traditional V-6 powertrain cranks out nearly 270 pound-feet of torque. The Crown taps into approximately 400 lb-ft of torque from the Hybrid MAX powertrain. Some of the output comes directly from a turbocharged 2.4-L engine. You can access a variety of driving modes on the Crown, including the EV and Sport S. Both Toyota sedans offer the Eco, Normal, and Sport settings. You can also get a hybrid powertrain for the Camry. Such an electrified engine has a peak output of 208 hp. Both vehicles have the ECVT system for efficient shifting patterns. The non-hybrid Camry trims run on an eight-speed automatic transmission with the Direct Shift technology. The Crown offers the Direct Shift gearbox with six ratios. This hybrid Toyota model runs on an all-wheel drive system with regenerative braking. You could buy the Camry with the Dynamic Torque AWD for sporty driving.
