Performance Features
Whipping out slightly over 200 net horsepower, the 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine moves the 2023 Toyota Camry. This standard I-4 engine twists out a maximum of 185 pound-feet of torque. By contrast, the 2023 Nissan Altima’s 2.5-L engine struggles to surpass the 188-hp mark. Backed up Direct Injection Gasoline, the default four-cylinder engine peaks at 180 lb-ft of torque. If you want to take performance to a higher level, equip this Nissan sedan with the VC-Turbo engine. Employing unique mechanics for combustion, this 2.0-L engine whips out approximately 250 hp. This proprietary turbo engine also bursts out more than 270 lb-ft of torque. You’ll get similar torque production from the 2023 Camry’s 3.5-L engine. Built on a conventional V-6 foundation, this large powerhouse pumps over 300 net hp. Engineered to improve the grip on the road, the Dynamic Torque Control AWD is available for this best-selling Toyota sedan. Similarly, the Nissan sedan offers the Intelligent AWD system for good traction on slippery pavement. Both vehicles may be fitted with a sport-calibrated suspension system. The Camry TRD model also rides on a unique suspension with even better resilience and versatility. This high-end model wears front disc brakes that measure nearly 13 inches in diameter.
Technology Features
Featuring a floating configuration with a slightly angled orientation, the 2023 Toyota Camry’s 9-inch touchscreen should be easy to view and control. Similarly, the 2023 Nissan Altima’s optional 12.3-inch touchscreen floats high above the dashboard. Regarding digital utility, the NissanConnect suite is comparable to the Toyota Connected Services. For example, the Camry’s Remote Connect has the same functions as the MyNissan mobile app. Carrying the signature JBL branding, nine speakers are optional for the midsize Toyota model. A nine-speaker audio system from Bose is available for the Nissan trim. Both vehicles even come with trials to SiriusXM Satellite Radio. However, a color head-up display gives the Camry more bragging rights in the high-tech department.
Design Features
The 2023 Toyota Camry is sold in up to nine different exterior colors, including Cavalry Blue and Ice Cap. Select trims are available with Midnight Black paint on the roof and side mirror caps. This dark finish could be combined with Supersonic Red, Underground, or other body colors. A two-tone scheme isn’t available for the 2023 Altima’s exterior. This midsize Nissan sedan comes in nine single-tone colors, including Garnet and Super Black. Adding urban-inspired sophistication, the Midnight Edition package has many dark-themed accents. You’ll get a bunch of excellent track-style enhancements on the Camry TRD, such as a front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler.
