Built on a conventional V-6 platform, the 2023 4Runner’s standard 4.0-liter engine block generates a total of 278 horsepower. Featuring a four-link design with coils springs and a double-wishbone architecture, the Toyota model’s suspension system performs well on any surface. You won’t find as many advanced mechanical technologies that boost on-road performance for the Jeep SUV.

The 2023 Toyota 4Runner offers improved rear glass with a power-assisted mechanism for opening and closing. Therefore, you can easily load the cargo area without opening the liftgate. If you need to add larger items to the cargo compartment, you could open the power-assisted liftgate with anti-jam protection. As a more rugged SUV, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler lacks such upscale exterior amenities. Instead, Mopar adds a bunch of off-road-focused accessories to this Jeep model. For instance, removable doors and side mirrors are available for this rugged SUV. Some other premium amenities that give the 2023 4Runner a clear victory include a dozen cup holders, a dual-zone HVAC system, and a 400-W power inverter.

Having a solid partnership with Toyota, the JBL corporation designed a custom 15-speaker sound system for the 2023 4Runner. You can tune into hundreds of music channels on the 90-day SiriusXM All Access trial. You’ll only get a maximum of nine speakers from Alpine inside the 2023 Wrangler. Regarding electronic features, the Jeep model falls short of the signature Toyota Connected Services in the 4Runner. You can precisely control the Remote Connect interface using a dedicated app on your mobile phone. The Wi-Fi Connect suite also provides better mobile connections on the road than the Wrangler’s Wi-Fi modem. Additionally, the Toyota SUV has the standard Safety Connect portal with better safety and security features.
