Powered by a classic V-6 engine block, the 2023 Toyota 4Runner tows 5,000 gross pounds in compliance with SAE J2807 regulations. When equipped with the 2.3-L EcoBoost engine or 2.7-L EcoBoost engine, the 2023 Ford Bronco only tows 3,500 pounds. Even when running on the expensive 3.0-L EcoBoost engine, this Ford model only gains an extra 1,000 lb. of trailering capability. Optimized for on-road deployment, the X-REAS Sport Enhancement suspension system gives the Toyota SUV tremendous cornering abilities. Such a sport-tuned suspension package isn’t available on the Bronco. However, this compact Ford model offers several unique choices for the HOSS bundle that’s mainly optimized for off-road trekking. This corporate-branded suspension adopts technologies from other third parties, including Bilstein and FOX. In fact, the 2023 4Runner also offers the TRD FOX suspension with remote reservoirs. You can further upgrade this versatile vehicle with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System for a sportier ride on paved surfaces. If you’re a true off-road enthusiast, get a full-time 4×4 drive system for the 4Runner. Some other components that will help you on the trails include the Torsen center differential and Crawl Control. Toyota’s signature Multi-Terrain Select finds a suitable spot on this rugged SUV. Some of the 2023 Bronco’s main off-road enhancements include the GOAT Modes and Trail Control.
Utilities
Standard on the 2023 Toyota 4Runner, the power-controlled hatch window provides great utility for families. If you fold the 50-50 seats in the third row, you could easily fit up to 88.8 cubic feet of cargo volume. The 2023 Bronco has a much lower storage capacity as a two-row model. Producing 120 V of AC, a three-prong outlet is available inside the Toyota model’s cargo section. Select trims offer conventional running boards for easier access into the cabin. Power running boards are also available for this three-row Toyota model. Additionally, up to a dozen cup holders are available inside this popular family vehicle.
Technology Features
Engineered by acoustic masters at JBL, a 15-speaker sound system is optional on the 2023 4Runner. This high-end audio system plays beats from SiriusXM All Access. Branded by Bang & Olufsen, the 2023 Bronco’s most sophisticated sound system only has ten speakers. This Ford model comes with trial plans for the SiriusXM 360L. Both SUVs enable easy importing of other digital content through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. When you hit the trails in the 4Runner, you should carefully look at the Panoramic View Monitor. The Ford SUV doesn’t offer a unique camera system with multiple real-time views. Additionally, sonar-powered sensors make it easier to park the Toyota model.
