2025 FCSS – STATE OF THE SCHOOLS
The Forsyth County School System along with the FOCO Chamber of Commerce co-hosted the 2025 State of the Schools event on Tuesday, July 29. Beaver Toyota and Beaver Mazda were proud to be co-Title Sponsors of the event with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This year’s main theme across all of the schools in Forsyth County is: Pieces To Purpose – Building The Bigger Picture. The event began with a special performance by Forsyth Central High School’s marching band and cheerleaders! The program then opened with welcomes from Alex Warner, President & CEO, FOCO Chamber – Dr. Mitch Young, Superintendent, FCSS – and Mike Valdes, Chair, FC Borad of Education. There were 3 panel discussions held on topics near and dear to the hearts of all educators, community leaders, and county residents. The first panel topic, Disconnect to Reconnect, explained the 2025 policy of removing personal electronic devices in all grades, K–12. The second panel topic, Pennies With Purpose, was led by our own Mazda GM, Austin Beaver! It related to the continuance of the 1-penny ESPLOST tax that is up for renewal this November. And the third panel topic, Power In Partnership, reveled around how it takes all of us, at every level, partnering together to have such a successful community network. As the first day of school is fast approaching next week, Beaver Toyota and Beaver Mazda wish all the personnel in the school system, the parents, and of course – the students, a fantastic and wonderful year!
